Ask first.
Then find the right advisor.
Most people don't need an advisor for every question — they need a straight answer for the ordinary ones and a real professional for the consequential ones. Tempra does both, in one place, and never charges you to ask.
Get wealth management help
Ask anything about saving, investing, retirement, debt, or tax. No account, no card, no sales call.
Tempra provides information and education. It does not provide personalized investment advice and is not a substitute for a licensed advisor who knows your full circumstances. For anything that turns on your specific situation, we'll point you to someone who can take it on.
Four reasons to start on Tempra rather than a search engine.
Answers, not ten blue links
Ask in plain language and get a direct answer, including an honest account of what the answer depends on that we don't know about you yet.
Advisors, not lead brokers
Every advisor in the marketplace is a registered investment adviser running on the Tempra platform. Nobody buys placement, and nobody buys your contact details.
Search on what matters
Filter by what actually determines fit — specialty, fee structure, and account minimum — instead of who ranks highest.
One place afterwards
Engage an advisor and everything lives together: documents, plans, portfolio views, and every conversation, in one portal.
Find someone who does this every day.

Pick up a conversation where you left it, without re-explaining your circumstances every time.

Straight answers about the marketplace.
The things people reasonably want to know before they trust a platform with a question about their money.
Does it cost anything to ask?
No. Asking questions and searching the directory are free, and creating an account doesn't change that. You only pay an advisor if you choose to engage one, and you pay them directly on their terms.
Is this financial advice?
No. Tempra gives you information and education — what an option is, how it generally works, what usually drives the decision. Advice means a recommendation for your specific circumstances, and that comes from a licensed advisor who has taken you on as a client.
How do advisors get into the marketplace?
They subscribe to the Tempra platform and use it to run their practice. Listing is a feature of that subscription, not a paid placement, and every listed firm is a registered investment adviser.
What happens to what I type?
Your questions are used to answer you and to keep your own history available when you return. They are not sold, and they are not shared with advisors unless you choose to start a conversation with one.
Do I have to engage an advisor?
No. Plenty of people use Tempra only to get their ordinary questions answered. The directory is there when a question gets big enough to want a professional on it.
The first question costs nothing.
Ask what's actually on your mind. If it turns out you need a person, you'll be one search away from a few good ones.
